Polyurethane Foam

Description

Polyurethane Foam (PUF) is a flat roofing system which has been widely used on commercial and industrial buildings for more than 25 years.

Often simply referred to as “foam”, PUF offers a unique method of insulating and waterproofing simultaneously, and is especially effective in our dry, low humidity climate.

The R value of the insulation can be regulated by the applied thickness of the foam. One inch of thickness provides an insulation value of approximately R-7.

A foam roof consists of essentially two components, the foam and a protective coating. foam can be applied over an existing roof avoiding tear-off. However to do this, the original roof MUST have been installed correctly, be fully ATTACHED to the substrate and NO moisture can exist in the old system.
